James Aguiar and Mark Haldeman

Was going through old New York magazine Curbed articles and remembered that maybe my dearest article was in one of the January 2017 editions on the home of James Aguiar and Mark Haldeman, Modern Luxury fashion editor and Paul Smith US manager, respectively. Their wedding at the New York Easter Parade was covered in the The Times a year later and there have been no more consummately NYC fashion nuptials since. I relish these photos of their home: the glorious colors, the Derian furniture, the lavish textiles and wallcoverings, and the sharp blending of luxury pieces with mass-market items that can hold their own - and I'm including photos of their previous apartment too, showing some of the same items in their previous incarnation. They wonderfully include all my treasured things: Maximalism, tons of books, "always looking for the wrong thing to make it right", upholstered furniture, blending of vintage and new, colorful ceilings, Virginian-style gallery walls, animal patterns, glorious blends of prints, gold accents, statement light fixtures, patterned rugs, pillows, colorful stools, rust colors, and I could carry on for hours because this is my fantasy townhouse.
